Bulk and repeat orders for laboratories
Single-batch supply, scheduled dispatch, purchase-order invoicing and documentation packs, how to arrange them, and what we cannot do.
Laboratories that use a research peptide across a project, rather than for a single experiment, have different needs from a one-off purchaser: batch consistency, predictable supply, purchase-order invoicing, and a price that reflects volume. This note explains how Alphex handles bulk and repeat orders, what we can and cannot do, and how to arrange it. All Alphex products are for laboratory and in-vitro research only.
What "bulk" means here
Multiple vials of a listed size, from a single batch where possible, in one order or on a schedule. Alphex does not sell bulk powder in gram quantities or unvialled material; the model is verified, batch-numbered vials, and larger orders are simply more of them. For custom synthesis or gram-scale supply, a peptide synthesis company is the right route.
What we can do
- Single-batch supply. Tell us the total quantity a project needs and we will confirm whether the current batch covers it, or hold a quantity from an incoming batch once it has passed testing, so the whole project runs on one certificate. See batch matching.
- Scheduled dispatch. A project quantity dispatched in tranches on agreed dates, so unopened vials stay in our -20 C stock rather than yours.
- Purchase-order invoicing for institutional purchasers: raise the PO to Alphex Limited, we invoice with the company registration, payment on invoice terms by arrangement. See universities and labs.
- Documentation pack for the order: certificates for every batch supplied, specification, safety summary, and a batch-to-order record for your inventory. See record keeping.
- Priority notice of incoming batches for compounds you use regularly.
Pricing
Per-mg cost already falls with vial size (see vial sizes). For multi-vial and repeat orders we quote per requirement rather than publishing a tier table, because the sensible price depends on compound, size, quantity and schedule; contact us with the requirement and we reply with a written quote. Quotes are inclusive of delivery unless stated. Alphex is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
How to arrange
- Use the contact form or email lewis@alphex.co.uk with: compound(s), size(s), total quantity, whether single-batch supply matters, delivery schedule, and whether you need PO invoicing.
- We reply with availability (current batch and pipeline), a quote, and the current batch COA.
- On confirmation we reserve stock, invoice, and dispatch per the schedule with Royal Mail Tracked 24 from UK stock.
What we cannot do
- Supply compounds not in the catalogue, or unvialled bulk. See why the catalogue is small.
- Ship untested material to meet a date. If a batch has not passed testing it is not supplied, whatever the schedule. See what happens when a batch fails.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum for a quote?
No; a laboratory ordering four vials on a PO is welcome to ask.
Can two departments share an order?
Yes; tell us how to split the invoice and the delivery.
Do you supply CROs and companies as well as universities?
Yes, on the same basis.
