Alphex delivers to UK addresses only. Why the service stops at the border, and what researchers outside the UK should check in a supplier closer to them.
Alphex delivers to UK addresses only. We do not ship outside the United Kingdom, and the checkout does not accept a delivery address in another country. This note explains why, and points researchers elsewhere to what is worth checking in a supplier closer to them. All Alphex products are for laboratory and in-vitro research only.
Where we deliver
To addresses in the United Kingdom, by Royal Mail Tracked 24, dispatched the same working day on orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday. Tracked 24 aims for the next working day; see what next-day delivery really means. Parcels are packed as described in how Alphex packs and ships.
Why UK only
- The service is built on not crossing a border. UK-held stock reaching a UK bench in one to two days, with no customs inspection, is the whole point of the model; see why UK stock matters. An export parcel gives up every part of that.
- Import rules for research reagents differ by country and change. Some jurisdictions restrict specific compounds or require the importer to be registered. A parcel can be held, returned or destroyed at the destination border, and neither the researcher nor the supplier controls that outcome.
- Transit is longer and less predictable. Sealed lyophilised peptide tolerates ordinary transit well, as set out in do peptides need to be shipped cold, but days in a customs shed are not ordinary transit.
If you are a researcher outside the UK
A supplier holding verified stock in your own country will usually serve you better, for the same reasons UK stock serves UK laboratories. The checks are the same wherever you are: an independent, batch-matched certificate, stock physically held by the supplier, and a named company that answers for it. Can I order to a UK address from abroad?
