How Alphex packs and ships research peptides
The picking, checking and packing sequence behind every order, what is in the box, what is deliberately not, and what to check on arrival.
Between the freezer and your bench, an Alphex order passes through a short, fixed sequence of checks and packing steps that exist to make sure the right batch, intact and traceable, arrives the next working day. This note describes that sequence, what is in the box, how the parcel is labelled, and what to check on arrival. It also explains a few things we deliberately do not do. All Alphex products are for laboratory and in-vitro research only.
Picking and checking
- The order is matched to the batch currently in stock for each product and size. The batch number is recorded against the order, so any later query about a vial can be traced to its certificate. See batch matching.
- Vials are taken from -20 C storage, checked visually (label, crimp, stopper domed inward, contents present) and against the order.
- If a COA was requested in advance, we check that the batch shipping is the batch on the certificate sent; if stock has turned over, the new certificate is enclosed and emailed.
Packing
- Vials sit in a rigid inner box, cushioned so they cannot touch each other or the walls.
- The inner box goes into a padded outer with the packing slip.
- The outer packaging is plain and carries no product description; the packing slip inside carries product names, sizes, batch numbers and the research-use-only statement.
- No ice packs. Sealed lyophilised peptide is stable at ambient temperature for far longer than a UK transit, and a gel pack that has warmed by arrival achieves nothing except condensation risk. See do peptides need to be shipped cold.
- No syringes, swabs or administration equipment. Alphex supplies laboratory reagents; bacteriostatic water is listed as a reagent for reconstitution and shipped in its own vial.
Dispatch
Orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday are collected by the tracked next-working-day courier the same afternoon; tracking is emailed at collection. Orders after the cut-off go the next working day. See what next-day delivery really means.
What is in the box
- The vials ordered, each labelled with compound, size, batch number and the research-use-only statement.
- The packing slip with order details and batch numbers.
- No printed certificate. The batch Certificate of Analysis is published in the COA library, searchable by the batch code on the vial label, so it is available before you order and after delivery without asking.
On arrival
- Check the outer for damage and the inner for broken glass.
- Check each vial: label and batch number against the packing slip; stopper domed inward; cake, film or flakes visible (a shifted cake is normal).
- Move to -20 C, dark, sealed. Do not open until reconstitution, then warm to room temperature first. See long-term storage and the vial and its seal.

- Anything wrong (damage, missing vial, lost vacuum): contact us with the order number and batch number; we replace from stock. See replacements and the purity guarantee.
